The Take Charge Helpline
Ticket to Work
The Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program is a part of the Social Security Program. It is for people who receive Supplemental Security Income or Social Security Disability Insurance benefits because they are disabled or blind.
Under the Ticket Program, you can receive employment services, vocational services or other services to help you go to work and to earn money. These services are provided by local Employment Networks which are private organizations or government agencies that have agreed to work with Social Security to provide employment services to people with disabilities.
If you are interested in participating in the Ticket Program, you can call Maximus, Incorporated at 866-968-7842. Maximus is a private company that is working with Social Security to manage the Ticket Program. Maximus can answer most of your questions about the program, and can give you the contact information for employment networks that are in your area.
If you have questions, or would like more information on The Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program, contact Maximus at 866-968-7842, or visit their website at www.yourtickettowork.com.
