The Epilepsy Foundation

The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan provides services to people with epilepsy.  These include telephone information and referral which offers information on current treatments, medications, financial assistance programs, employment discrimination, transportation and driving issues and health insurance.  The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan also offers services on seizure management which include information on recognizing different types of seizures, seizure triggers, stress management, proper ways to take medication, and first aid.

In addition, The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan also offers support to families and individuals through the center’s peer to peer phone support network, through a camping program, and through family counseling.  The Epilepsy Foundation also provides assistance with employment guidance for people with epilepsy, advocacy services and public education and awareness regarding myths and stigmas associated with epilepsy.
