The Take Charge Helpline
Other Michigan Rehabilitation Services
If you are a Michigan Rehabilitation Services, or MRS, customer, you may be eligible for training assistance. Your counselor can help you select and enroll in a training program that best meets your needs. You may only need a refresher course, or you may need on the job training, or trade, technical, business school or college training. Your counselor can help you apply for financial assistance to pay for this training, or MRS may help with training costs if financial aid does not fully cover costs.
In addition to the basic cost of training, such as tuition, fees, and books, Michigan Rehabilitation Services may help with other costs such as attendant services, interpreters, wheelchairs, and medications. Michigan Rehabilitation Services may also help pay for additional services if they are necessary to meet your employment goal such as assistive technology, accommodations, job coaching services, driver education, and personal assistance services.
For more information or to locate your local Michigan Rehabilitation Services district office, call 800-605-6722, or visit them online at www.michigan.gov/mdcd.
