Established in 1917, Methodist Children’s Home Society is a voluntary, non-profit child care agency which has a long history of caring for children.  Today, Methodist Children’s Home Society provides an environment of love and understanding that assists children in becoming healthy and productive.  For these children, this long and painful process is made possible through a dedicated, competent and compassionate staff.

Because of rejection, neglect or abuse, many children require treatment to cope with their deep fears, low self-esteem, anger and depression.  Methodist Children’s Home Society has been responding to the needs of these special youngsters by providing an array of residential, foster care and therapeutic services in the State of Michigan.  Specialized tutoring services are also provided in Jackson for learning disabled grade schoolers, and in Detroit for students trying to achieve high school and college degrees.
