Lincoln Behavioral Services is a behavioral health organization offering mental health and substance abuse recovery services. They have several locations in Wayne County that offer different programs for people with disabilities and their families. You can reach their administrative offices by calling 866-462-6730.
The Adult Outpatient program serves adults, age 18 and older, who need professional help in coping with mental illness, emotional difficulty, or substance abuse recovery issues.
Case Management programs are geared toward those people who display a vulnerability for rehospitalization, and require assistance in accessing needed services, including mental health and medical services.
Residential Services provides case management, nursing, and psychiatric services to residents in specialized living situations, like adult foster care homes. Case Managers visit people in their homes on a regular basis, develop and monitor the person-centered plan, and coordinate all treatment services.
Assertive Community Treatment, or ACT, serves adults who have had numerous psychiatric hospitalizations, and who have great difficulty in meeting the demands of daily living. The staff work as a team by visiting the person in his or her home and community. With the support of the treatment team, he or she is able to live independently in the community. ACT staff provide 24 hour crisis coverage.
Gathering Place Clubhouse is a psycho-social rehabilitation program, modeled after the Fountain House program. Based on the principles of supportive relationships and real choices, the clubhouse provides experiences that assist people to function in their community, and decrease the need for hospitalization.
Vocational Services are provided to those interested in educational or vocational services.
Supported Employment Program assists adults interested in job placement, with a variety of services. Employment Specialists provide resume construction, help with interviewing, serve as a resource regarding appropriate clothing for interviews, job coaching, benefit assistance, assistance with transportation issues, and educational linkages, as well as job leads.
The Permanent Supportive Housing Program is designed to assist people who reside in Adult Foster Care homes, to move towards self sufficiency by moving them into semi-independent living, or independent living environments. The project will provide long term housing with the necessary supportive services to help people learn, or re-learn life and social skills necessary to maintaining one's independence.
Fairweather Lodge is a well-known rehabilitation program for adults who have struggled with chronic mental illness, yet are willing to learn step-by-step skills of responsibility and group cooperation. In this program, several people live together in a home, as a family unit. These members are also employed together as co-workers. Together they help themselves and each other to become contributing members of the community.
Our Place is a Drop-in Center that serves adults who want to share social and recreational activities with others. The group leaders offer leadership and program direction to all members. The members discover that their social skills and confidence improve as they participate in giving and receiving acceptance and peer support. Our Place offers transportation assistance.
The Child & Family Outpatient program serves children, ages 3 to 17, and their families who need professional help with emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse difficulties.
